buy air tickets from China or Canada

Want to buy tickets for parents to travel from Beijing to Ottawa. Any suggestions whether I should buy from China or Canada? Which way is better in terms of price? And do they have to buy return tickets in order to pass the Chinese customs? Thank you.

Purchase tickets from Canada, but have your parents pick the tickets up from China. A lot of airlines offer ths service.

they are different.
Even if you buy ticket, shanghai-ottawa-shanghai here, the price is a little higher than ottawa-shanghai-ottawa.
For aircanada, it does not matter much if you buy ticket in canada or china.
But for air china, it is a little cheaper here.

Well, do your parents want to stay in Canada? It's not required by the Canadian custom, but you should know by ths time. Round-trip tickets are considerably cheaper than one-way tickets. Normal airfares are open for at least one year.
