Frost warning for
Ottawa North - Kanata - Orléans continued
Frost likely tonight into Tuesday morning.
This is a warning that at or near zero ground temperatures will cause frost in the parts of these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
While temperatures early this morning have managed to remain a couple degrees above freezing thus reducing the threat of frost at present..A different story will unfold tonight.
As a high pressure area of Arctic origin builds towards Eastern Ontario tonight..A combination of mostly clear skies and light winds will create ideal conditions for frost. Temperatures are expected to dip to a degree or two below freezing across much of the district tonight and may remain at or below freezing for several hours.
Frost warnings may also be issued later today for additional parts of eastern and parts of Southern Ontario.
Tender plants should be protected or brought indoors if possible especially tonight into Tuesday morning.
