Scotiabnk "savings bonus of up to 10%" program

上个星期去问了一下，觉得这个program还不错，自己也加入了，最多可以免费拿到$150.
条件是，你必须是scotia客户或者要新开户，好像要有2个pre-authorized transaction, such as 你每个月的pay deposit之类的。然后你要有scotia VISA or 加入 scotia bank the rest program. 我是加入的bank the rest program. 这个bank the rest program是说如果你用你的debit card购物的话，round up to the next $1 or $5. 比如说，你买了$23.50的东西，如果是round up to the next $1 就是$24, 那$0.50就会automatically transfer to your savings account. 如果是round up to the next $5 就是$25, 那$1.50就会automatically transfer to your savings account.
如果以上说的都set up 的话，你就eligible for the program.
然后你就要set up a regular transfer of money from your cheqing account to savings account. 整个bonus 是based on 10% * 你在一年里transfer的钱up to max of $1500*10% = $150. 所以transfer $1,500是最划算的。整个过程没有费用，到明年的11月份，你可以拿到bonus。个人觉得如果是scotia客户的话，可以去问问。好像过了这个月就没了。

不是Scotia的。。。。用了ROYALBANK 10年了，每次看到Scotia的优惠就很懊恼。。。。

其实无所谓，没有很多的benefit, 还要做一些paper work,挺麻烦的。
一开始我是在counter上问的，小伙子长得挺帅，就是啥都不懂，问了n个他的同事以后拍胸脯说搞定了，即使我让他confirm了不下于5次。估计帅哥心里直嘀咕我脑子不正常。
后来我怎么想都觉得不对劲，后来打电话给我的Scotia advisor, 果然搞错了，他根本都没有给我set up bank the rest. 我的Scotia advisor 左一个sorry, 右一个apologize, 还问我到底是哪个帅哥干的好事，想起我刚开始工作的时候也啥都不懂，就说，其实一点都没有关系，这是很正常的part of the learning process. 帅哥，遇见我算你走运。

Saving bonus up to 10% 其實有欠公正, 其實只可算up to $150. TD 一兩年前的promo bonus 最後可得$200, 又不用那麼多的setup. 看來更有噱頭.
