Originally posted October 17: With Halloween just around the corner, it's time to dust off our list of free resources for your pumpkin carving needs. There are some new additions for 2010 -- read on!

• MarthaStewart.com: Unsurprisingly, MarthaStewart.com has a huge selection (50+) of templates, pumpkin creature instructions, and more.
• StarWars.com: Here, you'll find Star Wars themed pumpkin stencils. Hopefully, the Force will be with you when you try to carve the Tusken Raider.
• ThinkGeek.com: There's a nice (growing) batch of geeky, funky, user submitted pumpkin templates. You'll also find a good selection from 2009.
• CBC.ca: The CBC logo or Jack Layton jackolanterns may not winners, but there are 6 other templates that you might enjoy.
• Disney's Family.com: You'll find 6 Disney character pumpkin templates for to try here.
• Nickelodeon site nickjr.com: A good choice for kids with 10 free templates of Nickelodean characters like Dora the Explorer and Moose.
