I can't use Bell Internet at my location, since too many ppl using it.
There is promotion - three month free for Rogers High Speed Internet.
I got this offer two months ago, not sure whether it's still available~
There are several location's telephone does not has DSL interface connected by Bell. Those kind of residential area will not able to use any DSL service, including Bell. In general, DSL charges are more choice than Rogers, and some have unlimited bandwidth. Rogers tends to limit to 15 GB/month for their low entry speed, which each extra from there.
Furthermore, they has speed control for P2P (eMule, torrent), which is officially listed in dslreport.
It is shocking to know that even residential around Ottawa downtown does not has DSL interface connected by Bell. As such, those people only can get Rogers. If I am not mistaken Acanac is the only one offer cable internet.
Teksavvy said unofficial launch date for Ottawa area is end of this month (Nov 2010).
Thx 柳柳 and Beefburger to point out that Acanac is providing cable internet to Ottawa area now. Please PM me if you would like to by my referral because I am one of those who want to leave Rogers
