Could be the catalystic converter gone. your car definitely has the check engine light on because the post-cat O2 sensors will send the signal to your car computer that the pre-cat O2 sensor is not doing its job. This is the signal of failed cat converter with high NO and CO.
Replace the Cat. Check also the conditions of pre- and post-cat O2 sensors (whether working or not).
