各位读YES Canada MBA的朋友，麻烦提供一些经验，你们的经历是后来者无比的财富，我再次感谢各位了。

myself is not a MBA student, but i can help you out with some general questions you need. Life is quiet in Ottawa,nothing special you can do in Ottawa. Bars, bowling place, pool place usually close2-3pm. food is not good, expensive and lack of variaty. Rent is pretty expensive. usually students here shares rent together.Usually the rent is about 350-400 for one room in an apartment or house. A bacholor will cost you about 600-700 dollors per month, one bedroom cost 7-800 depends one what type of quality of room you are looking for. Books are very expensive, although you buy second hand, still cost you a lot.so a lot people photocopy books, which will cost you 4 cent per page.Professor here like to earn money by changing editions every year, in order to make you buy new books. For your guys who are taking language courses before you start the actual class, they are not that useful as it seemed to be and cost you a lot. if u can't take it, doesn't really matter. Ottawa is pretty cold in winter, bring a lot winter cloths. If your guys smoke, bring as much cigarett as you can because it;s cost around 4 dollar for one pack of cigarett. If your English is not that good, doesn;t really matter for the first few months becasue all your classmates will be Chinese becasue you all taking core courses together, seperate from Canadian student, you won;t have time using English actually,unless writing papers adn do presentations. Hope these informations will help your guys a bit,and welcome to Ottawa.

梅子，谢谢你的详细耐心的介绍。加拿大的香烟是每盒(25支)6加元，不是4加元。另外，香烟的消费税马上就要又提高了，据报道是增加到40%(原来是15%)，因此，以后的香烟价格就是每盒9加元了。

此外，吸烟的人买生命保险比不吸烟的人要几乎贵一倍。

加拿大政府已经开始变的疯狂，失去理性了!!!

此外，传言说加拿大准备对巧克力等食品也实行香烟同样的高税，因为根据医学专家的研究报告，巧克力等容易导致肥胖的食品比香烟更容易致病。

梅子，看了你的experience后好失望，好像尽是些让人烦恼的东西，能不能说些好玩的地方，和让你感觉很幸福的地方。现在我正处在焦急的等待签证阶段，已经很难过了，请你给我多些勇气和憧憬好吗

well, actually the life in Ottawa is not so bad, depending on your own ability for fitness. Once you get used to the life, you will eventually like it.IT;s just complete different with the life back in China. There are a lot things you can do actually. During the summer, go for fishing in beautiful lakes or rivers; camping in Algonquin Park or somewhere in Quebec. Go to all the museums, see all the paintings and aboriginal culture.Enjoy the sunshine and the fresh air while attending the Tulip festival. Go to suburban areas to pick your own fresh Strawberries,apples and many more.Drive down to Toronto to see CN towers, Lakes,eat in Chinatown, Play in Canada's Wonderland etc.Further, you can drive to see the famous Niagara Falls, enjoy the becauty created by nature mother. Like to gamble, go to Niagara Fall Casino, 3 floors full of excitments!! Back to north, you can go to Montreal, Quebec cities, enjoy the real European culture. There are a lot more stuff you can do during the summer, just depending on how you like it. If you don;t like any of the stuff, then of course it;s boring though. Anyways, hope these would help a bit!
