图书馆的故事时间

每年4月中，图书馆都有故事时间(story time), 特别适合还没有上幼儿园的孩子，18个月以下的需要预先登记。请妈妈们不要错过了，到你就近的图书馆查查时间。

我女儿从我修产假开始参加图书室的story time，到现在已经去了３年多，不同年龄不同programme，几乎没中断过一次，风雨无阻，那儿的老师都和我闺女混的很熟了，我觉得这个很好，又不花钱，对孩子的阅读兴趣和语言都很有好处，听了故事然后在图书馆看书，这么几年来星期六上午和冬天傍晚我女儿基本都是在图书馆渡过的，她真的成了个书迷。
我觉得有很多免费或便宜资源可以利用，兴趣不一定要花钱凭借什么特殊programme（对不起，不是针对上私利的家长啊，别误解）来培养。贵在家长的早开始和坚持下来。几年来我带我女儿去story time碰到的中国家长很少尤其是星期六的，去的也就是零散地去了几次就不去了。其实爸爸妈妈门别光为上啥花多少钱纠结，也可以有效地利用下其它便宜又好的资源，那可是你纳税的钱啊，不用别人就用了。
我们这family story time for ３－６ 岁除了假期和summer外，其它月份都有。

可惜我家附近两间library这样的program一般都安排在白天，没办法上。

感兴趣的TZ要做的事很简单，
1。先到library帮娃办长library card。
2。到biblioottawalibrary.ca 预定就行啦。

i don't think it's available in every library branch.Usually more activities in some bigger branches. The library close to my home is a big one (centrepointe, nepean central library) , they don't have routine story time for older kids, but I remember every year they have reading club for older children and teens, reading and discussing. You can search it in the websites. This library is also not far from your home.

每间library的policy不一样吧。
有的是需要registration的，比如我家附近这2家。

yes, in mandarin. But it's not suitable for your boys, just for little kids.
The library is around 15-20 minutes distance to your home. just search it in the website, maybe you can find some activities for your boys at some nights.
I'm also hesitating for my girl's schedule for this september, Chinese school o story time? She really loves the story time. Maybe I'll send her to the chinese school next year.
