This recall involves "Kirkland Signature" Children's Two-piece Short Sleeve Top and Shorts Summer Pyjama Sets with item number 503928. This product comes in sizes 2 to 10, and is sold in the following different patterns:
Blue with flowers
Pink with ice cream cone
Green with dinosaurs
Blue with sports motif
White with tools motif
White with blue star motif
Blue with sharks
White with birds
Pink with ladybugs
Hazard Identified
The affected sleepwear does not meet the design and flammability requirements for children's sleepwear under Canadian law.
Children's sleepwear that is loose fitting or that has loose edges can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more easily than tight-fitting sleepwear. Once ignited the sleepwear can burn rapidly and cause severe burns to large areas of the child's body resulting in shock and sometimes death.
Health Canada is aware of one complaint related to the pyjama sets. No injuries have been reported.

Corrective Action
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the affected pyjama sets and return them to Costco Wholesale Canada customer service department for a full refund.

Number Sold
Approximately 53,846 units of the affected pyjama sets were sold at Costco warehouses across Canada.
