Both are very good values. The Vostro 3450 laptop packs a lot of power at $549. You also get some nice extras like a backlit keyboard and built-in Bluetooth. The desktop PC has a lot going for it as well. The processor and motherboard alone would cost you around $300 at retail, and fleshing out the rest of the system including a copy of Windows for another $210 wouldn't be easy.
