Heinz Canada is recalling some of their meat baby food products due to a defect in the jar that causes the glass to break off.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued a warning Thursday advising the public not to eat Heinz’s Strained Beef With Broth, Strained Chicken with Broth and Strained Lamb with Broth.

The defective jars have pieces of glass protruding from the bottom and can break off if the food is being scooped out.

These products, which are sold in 100mL jars, have been distributed nationally.

The CFIA says there have been no reported injuries from eating these foods.

Heinz Canada, based in Leamington ON, is voluntarily recalling the products.
