看到美国战俘回国

被伊拉克军队俘虏的美军战俘在Eastern Weekend 回国，
受到美国人的热烈欢迎。
看到他们走下飞机浮梯，和家人拥抱喜庆的情景，
我不仅想起了那些可怜的志愿军俘虏，
好不容易熬到回家，还被自己人鉴别了很久，然后还在人前抬不起头来。
荣立战功的战友有抚恤金，但是这些战俘们有人关心过他们的生存吗？
美军战俘的全额抚恤金是$2,287.00 /月，并且tax-free。

So according to your logic, I believe you prefer "You'd rather kill 3000 wrongly instead of let one escape", right ?
I always appreciate those US PoWs, they are happy guys/gals because they know their homeland will not reject them and they will heroes if they can be alive.
When I was a kid in 70's I also looked down upon those Chinese PoWs and thought they should die in the battlefields instead of being PoWs, however nowadays, I have totally different views and I also sincerely believe Chinese army/government will not place the same tradegies on our PoWs (if we do have in future) as those on our Korean War PoWs.
Anyway, in that crazy era, there are too many things beyond the imagination of a normal human being, such as "eat people", "students beat professors to death", "you are criminal if you were born in an 'evil' family"

Just want you know, if someday for whatever reason, you are captured in a battlefield by me, no doubt, I will shoot you without hesitation if you refuse to commit suicide immediately.
Pls be informed that lots of time PoWs are captured without even any chances to do anything, for example, wounded and fainted and waked up to find being a PoW.

Anyway, young guy, good luck in your future with all your ideas and logic.
