Experienced Oracle DBA
Primary Role Title: Database Administrator

Essential Functions:
-Provide technical support for database environments, including testing and installation of DBMS upgrades -Assist in documenting database strategies and architectures -Participate in tool evaluation, integration and support -Monitor the performance of production systems and utilize appropriate tools to identify tuning requirements -Participate in logical and physical database design and assist application developers in applying DBMS technology
Essential Knowledge:
-Backup and recovery processes and technologies. -Database knowledge (logical and physical design) -Database tuning -Data integrity concepts -Broad technical knowledge of client/server environments -UNIX -Understands 24 X 7 database support
Essential Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Essential Skills:
2 years Oracle DBA on multiple instances 5 years IT experience Experience in SQL Server or DB2 a plus Programming experience in C, C++, Powerbuilder, Visual Basic or other programming language Writing skills Good interpersonal skills
Organizational "Fit" Considerations:
Teamwork/interpersonal skills Client relations Occasional travel Excellent attendance record Positive attitude
