A sweet summer with a violent side

Nothing sums up the two faces of Ottawa’s summer like July 17, a gorgeous, warm Sunday. The sunshine lured people to beaches and the lawns of Bluesfest to soak up heat that reached 33 degrees. And then, around 7 p.m., the temperature dropped 10 degrees and the sky turned black. And a wind that clocked at 96 km/h blew down the stage at Bluesfest.
