Build-A-Bear Birthday Party

Anyone had a party for his/her daughter at Build-A-Bear in Bayshore mall? I was told that no food is allowed and we can go to food court instead. Won't it be too akward to have a birthday cake in an opening public food court? With the singing and all the kids.....

Doesn't this kind of thing happen in restaurant all the time? Some dinner's birthday, waiter waitress singing, with a cake + candles in their hands...
