Power failure closes public schools in Metcalfe

Classes ended early for public school students in Metcalfe on Tuesday because of power failure. Metcalfe Public School and Osgoode Township High School, both located on 8th Line Road in Metcalfe, closed Tuesday morning because of the outage. With no word from Hydro Ottawa as to when the power would come back, the schools were closed and the students sent home.
