Residents’ vigilance best way to catch Stittsville vandals, police chief says

It’s almost certain that the only way vandals who are burning houses and slashing tires in Stittsville will be caught is when a resident notices something suspicious and calls 911. That message was delivered by Ottawa’s police and fire chiefs Friday afternoon after Mayor Jim Watson’s hastily called meeting at City Hall on the crime spree.
