Gatineau police are on the hunt for a man who unsuccessfully tried to rob a gas station at knifepoint on Thanksgiving Monday, then robbed a Jean Coutu pharmacy just 10 minutes later. The first incident happened at 772 Boul. Saint-Joseph — an Ultramar gas station — at 8:07 p.m. Police said a white man entered the gas station and asked for the contents of the cash drawer. The clerk refused, and so he tried to open the drawer himself but couldn’t, and fled empty-handed. He was riding a bicycle.
