Protesters renew call for Carleton sex-assault support centre

A string of recent sexual assaults at Carleton University prompted a small group of protesters to gather Monday morning and renew a call for an on-campus sexual assault support centre. Organizer Julie Lalonde said about 30 people converged just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Bronson and Sunnyside avenues to wave banners and hand out flyers to pedestrians and passing motorists, as part of a four-year campaign for a university-funded, student-run support centre for victims.
