Bank Street reopens for the winter in Glebe Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.

OTTAWA — Bank Street reopens in the Glebe on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., Councillor David Chernushenko announced Monday morning. The street was closed all summer for a major reconstruction, part of work that’s been done in phases each year beginning at the Wellington Street end. Old sewer and water pipes underneath it have been replaced, conduits rebuilt and sidewalks replaced with bricks. Finishing touches are to be done in the spring, but the road is reopening for Christmas shopping and then winter traffic while work shuts down for a few months.
