Despite fears about a shrinking economy, the Ontario government will not cut back on infrastructure spending, which it says is a significant way to stimulate growth and create jobs. Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Bob Chiarelli said in Ottawa Tuesday that the government will not cut back on the $35 billion it plans to spend over the next three years on roads, bridges, transit, buildings, plants and other services.
