The city is seeking to name an east-end bridge for former Gloucester mayor Harry Allen and two parks for community celebrities in Bells Corners and south Kanata. Allen was a longtime politician in Gloucester and served as its mayor from 1985 to 1991. The city would like to name a bridge along St. Joseph Boulevard after him in recognition of his contributions particularly to expanding Gloucester’s road network.
