Officers cleared of unnecessary force charges under Police Act

Four Ottawa police officers were cleared Wednesday of internal charges of unnecessary force and unnecessary exercise of authority after a hearing officer sided with their ‘credible’ version of events surrounding a routine stop for tailgating that ended with an agitated driver on the ground and in handcuffs.
