<HTML>I'm Ontario resident now.I 'm planing to U of O in September. If I find a aparment in Hull, that means I will change all my address to Qubec, such as Driver licence, Health Card, Credit Card... that will be a problem to across province? Could you give a some idea about that? thanks!!</HTML>

<HTML>If you are living in Hull, you are NOT Ontario resident anymore.

Yes, you have to change your Driver's license and health card, but I don't think it is necessary for you to give up your credit card, just mailing address update will be ok. Meanwhile, your student's status won't be effected.

One other thing you may concern is the income tax rate. Quebec's tax is a little higher.</HTML>

<HTML> OK. Thank you so much!
Yep, the tax rate issue, For example, I am working in Ontario now,
after Sep. I will give up my job to school and live in Hull. At the beginning of next year, when I submit my income tax form. I will calculate the whole 2001 year's income base on Qubec's tax rate, Is that right?
Phone call from Hull to Ottawa is long distance, right?

Thanks

<HTML>When you submit tax return next year, your tax will be spilt by Ontario and Quebec based on your moving date. They'll cut the pie. If you have kid, she/he would enjoy free dental service provided by Quebec.

Phone call between Hull and Ottawa is still considered local. Bell is better than China Telecom on this issue.</HTML>

<HTML>for tax issue, there is no split pie. if you live in hull on Dec. 31, 2001, then you should declare your tax in quebec for all 2000 year.</HTML>
