Some Chinese compatriots are really nuts. They naturally think they can bully Chinese workers.

From my experience, Chinese or Asian workers are generally nice and professional but their customer circle is small and they generally get good training.

从客户还价的时候起，这活儿干着就没劲了。也许很多人觉得还价是件挺正常的事，可这看对谁。如果你的价钱要得本来就挺低，人家再还价，那只能是人家对你不信任，或是想占你点小便宜。无论哪种情况，都该躲着。这一百元，别要了，就当是买个教训罢。另外，随行就市，市面上是什么价钱就该要什么价钱。对同胞，稍微收低点合情合理，但也别低得离谱。跑一次，不管活多活少，一个半天就没了。跑四次，外带补顶棚，收二百八，靠这个怎么养家？如果是按国内那种低价低质薄利多销的做法，那你这生意打算做多久？还不如把钱要够，把活儿做满。

I am not on anybody's side, but based on what you said, I have some responses.
The real case is, generally, the Chinese contractor in Ottawa society are not able to do qualified job. And this is part of the reason they ask less to get the customers.
For me, I never, ever use a Chinese contractor of do any service, to avoid the embarrassing of "bullying my own folks".

Of course this is reasonable ! He gives your the assurance everything is fine and that assurance is worth $200 ! Otherwise, you have to find more services.

If he is incapable, then just $100 as base charge.

I am not on anybody's side, but based on what you said, I have some responses.
The real case is, generally, the Chinese contractor in Ottawa society are not able to do qualified job. And this is part of the reason they ask less to get the customers.

I have Chinese contractors doing good job. Don't use such blanket claim !

Once you deal with good Chinese contractors for long, they show much more care.

Shouldn't be so mean to your own compatriot. He already agreed to forfeit $100 pay and this LZ still comes here to ruin his reputation.

Or ruin reputation of Chinese workers as a group, like the other guy just responded.

Where is the assurance? It is leaking and he did not find the problem. Why do not check the toilet so you will not come back again? But it is ok and I know it is hard. Just do what you promised.

我不介意给那１００，如果他能弄好的话。现在这个结果是大家都不高兴，特别是我２头受气。我现在也住在出租的房里，只是想快点还贷款而已。
