Because of MOM 一时失误, the child get hurt, the mom maybe charged with careless and went to jail if the hurt is very serious.
It is illegal behave.
The driver is not directly cause of the accident (if the driver didnot close the door improperly. It is moral problem, not legal issue.
It is parents responsibility to take care of children well. This incident can be avoided.
Even if you leave the pet in the car in the summer and te dog died, the owner maybe charged.

dependent on the child mature, 11 old can stay at home if meet certain conditions. But in the bus, train station, busy street, airport....
swimming pool, arm of the rule (keep close with child within one arm far) should apply, at least for a 6 years old child.
So, rude language, beat driver doesnot help, If I was that MOM, 先打自己耳光， 再骂driver

If the hurt is serious, the parent go to jail, no doublt. several years ago, in Vancouver, a Japan young woman left two kids in home and she went to Albert to visit boyfriend for happy, forget two kids at home, couples day late back home (cannot remember detail), one is died, (or hurt), the mom was sent to jail.
i was reading a lot this kind of careless cases when I was working in BC ministry of attorney general. Department of Justice Canada in BC. Most not Chinese people. Lots of police reports in the database. believe or not you can try.

不对，我不同意你的说法。
那些判刑获罪的，都是因为他们有主观上的问题，而不是不小心，一时失误。
你上面说的那个日本女子，是她故意留未成年小童在家无人看管。
把小孩留在车里的案子有好几件，但是为什么有的判刑，有的甚至未被起诉？
就是因为有的是主观知道自己把小孩留在车里了，而另一些是不知道小孩还在车里的。这些都是可以查的，不信你自己查出来比较比较就知道了。
这个公车上的母亲到底怎么会和女儿分开，我们都不在场。但是从目击者的采访中，表明了她多次要求下车，好和女儿尽快团聚。这一点，我看就不像主观对孩子careless的表现。而司机如果听明白了其他乘客的请求的话（该母亲据说貌似不太会说英语），他还不作为，那么他才是那个主观careless的人。
