Here's a summary of the latest developments:
- Malaysia has released a transcript of the communication with the cockpit of MH370 which revealed a differently worded sign-off from its previous account. Acting transport minister Hishammuddin Hussein said there was nothing "abnormal" about the transcript, and that it did not alter the investigators' belief that the someone on board the missing plane deliberately changed its course.
- Hishammuddin has expressed frustration at the failure of international agencies, and the makes of plane and its engines, Boeing and Rolls-Royce, to explain what went wrong. In an interview with Chinese TV he said it was unfair for Malaysian Airlines to take all the criticism and it was time for international companies and agencies involved in the hunt to "stand out there".
- British experts who concluded that the plane went missing over the south China Sea will not be briefing Chinese relatives of the missing passengers at an international technical briefing in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday. The UK's Air Accidents Investigations branch said it was right that Malaysia led the communications with families. The satelitte company Inmarsat said it had not been invited to attend and was not being evasive.
- Angus Houston, the retired air chief marshal appointed by Australia to oversee the hunt for MH370, has described it as the most challenging search operation he ever encountered. He pledged to pursue the search with "much vigour".
- High seas and poor visibility have hampered today's search efforts. The captain of a Chinese ship involved in the operation said 11 objects recovered from the search zone had been found to be unconnected with the missing plane.
- A US judge has dismissed an attempt to take legal action against Malaysia Airlines and Boeing on behalf of a relative of a passenger on the missing plane. The attempt by the law firm Ribbeck Law Chartered was thrown out for improper filing.
