请教大家一个问题吧，或许这个问题 没有一个确定的答案。。。

目前LZ就职于calgary一家电信公司，但是呢觉得卡村实在是太小，IT职位太过于依赖oil gas行业，不知道搬到以IT为支柱产业的ottawa(个人观点），是不是一个好的主意呢？

比如：
1. 两个城市之间，关于IT职位的比较，IT职位promotion以及career修为的比较，薪水的比较。。
2. 两个城市间，生活成本有很大区别吗
3. in general, 大家更愿意在哪里生活呢？

我觉得calgary其他都好，就是IT系统的发展和建设有些落后，没什么特别好的职位。我去过ottawa一次，觉得那里非常的漂亮，其他的就不知道了。。。

我知道这是一个仁者见仁智者见智的话题，不过还是想听听大家的意见

it's so hard to find a high-end position that i can get those skills improved/used everyday. (my apologies, no chinese input plugin on my corporate laptop)

and in calgary, IT positions are very related to the oil price, like now, quite a few IT staff laid off in the past few months, so wondering if Ottawa has a similar situation once in a while?

and to your first point, what i've heard is the average living cost in ottawa is a bit lower than calgary, no? (including estates prices, etc.)

我个人认为ottawa的生活成本比Calgary略低，Ottawa城市建设，人文部分比Calgary好很多。

如果你有加拿大护照的话，不凡看看美国的机会，真的有很多。
没有护照是PR的话，不凡考虑一下accenture, deloitte一类的公司，能接触很多project，前提是你不介意travel还有和人打交道。
Ottawa还算稳定，pay也还可以，未来4年政府应该会给出不少机会，但是要security clearance，因为这是一个政府工为主的城市。

房价应该是同一起跑线，现在应该比Ottawa低

no, i don't. and i'm not really whether i should get one or not... i just came to canada for a few months...

calgary和alberta的户外其实很美的，也很有活力的城市，你需要只是多认识一些朋友

i was planning to come to toronto, but my friend who comes from toronto told me, no, dont come, it's terrible here in toronto, and Calgary is way better and more jobs/low unemployment rate, which was 2 yrs ago..
