今年回国的一大感受就是多了好多绿化带，但是交通还是一大问题啊，

中国城市人口密度大本来就不适合大力发展个人汽车,应该大力发展公共交通!

Where did you get such conclusion? I did not have time to comment on every post. Please do not make any arbitrary judgement on myself. If you re-read my former response, my declaration of being more proud of a Chinese is a strong response to 前面那人讲：上海最不是中国人. If you read carefully, my message to the visitor is very clear: United, which is most important for all Chinese here. It should not be our Chinese's interest to discover our difference and then fight for each other here. Nobody is perfect and please do not demand others to be perfect.

不错，“The phenomenon you are addressing here applies to almost all the cities in China.” 其实，中国城市人群的自豪感，是建立在对农村人口的不公平的社会基础上的，我在中国的时候，每当看到在寒风和酷暑中劳做的民工，我心里涌起的不是自豪感，而是罪恶感，因为我自己正是这种不公平的收益者。

其实，更应该看这个帖子的人是国内的中国人，国内对民工和社会底层的歧视，比西方人对少数族裔和外国人的歧视，要严重得多。

某种意义上说，因为不平等，才产生了所谓一群人对另一群人的“优越感”，或叫“自豪感”，但人生来是平等的，对吧？

希望大家下次回国时，不要以自己新的身份，而“自豪”。

说实话 现在的上海真的很好 不理解上海人来渥太华这种地方混什么 估计再上海没有能力找好工作吧
能再上海有好工作谁来这啊 right？

这话打击面太大了吧？你是上海人？我也是上海人，出生在上海，长在上海。我不在Ottawa，但是我也在一个加拿大的小城市，这里比Ottawa要差一些。可以告诉你，我在上海时，比大多数上海人还有你所谓的“在上海的外地乡下人”要混得好得多。2001年回上海时乃至现在，还有很多的朋友要我留在上海帮助他们。可以告诉你，我是“在上海有好工作，并且放弃了再来加拿大的人”。这位“速战速决”朋友，繁华不代表一切，机会也不代表一切。上海发展是很快，她也是我的故乡，但是仅凭这两点并不能说明上海是好的。

咋就不妥当? 咱住在北京，除了上海，去过哈尔滨，沈阳，西安，天津，济南，南京，苏锡常，合肥，广东，成都，还有若干小城市和地区，应该有点普遍性了。严格地说，我说的"最"是这些城市地区里的"最"。您如果能找出比上海还"最"的城市和地区，先要比上述城市地区"最"。

哦，没去过香港。

I totally agree with you. For all we made Canada the second homeland, we have given up something, and we are sure that we have also gotten something which we are not able to get when we were in China. One thing I have learned is to respect and understand others. China needs to do a lot to take care of those weak groups to be able to bring it to the next level of being a prosperous nation.
