Ottawa awoke to a mere 1 C Friday and the high is just 13 C but we’ll fête moms everywhere with sunshine and seasonal temperatures by Sunday and hit the 20s by next week.
Friday’s forecast is for mainly sunny skies with increasing cloudiness overnight and a low of 2 C with the risk of frost.
Saturday starts out mainly cloudy but starts clearing in the afternoon with a high of 16 C and a low of 3 C.
The Mother’s Day forecast is sunshine and 19 C — which is spot on seasonal for mid-May — with a low of 4 C.
For Monday, expect more sunny skies, a high of 23 C and a low of 10 C.
Mixed skies, a high of 21 C and a low of 8 C are on tap for Tuesday.
The forecast for Wednesday is for more mixed skies, a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 22 C.
Expect a mix of sun and cloud, again, and 21 C Thursday.
