Install PCAnywhere in both of the computer, then you can use it. But make sure you have the pemission to install it at school.

You can use PCAnywhere or GoToMyPC etc software, which are not free though.

one very popular way in most company is using cireix metaframe 1.8 or xp, actaully it is a server/thin client system and just install server on your home pc, you can reach your pc from anywhere else and run any software on your pc that you allowed.

I am the expert on this issue.
There are tons of ways of doing this, the most important thing is the speed of the link
will make it impossible to do any meaningful work.
The fastest remote control software for your case is Remote Admin. But it is still a bit slow.
