请问entry visa跟study permit有什么不同？

我的studypermit跟entryvisa都是12月底到期。
只是不知道entry visa要怎么申请呢？

STUDY PERMIT就是你在这里学习必须办的.

RE-ENTRY VISA只是进入加拿大的时候要用.如果你不回国的话就不用理它.
要申请的话就要寄护照,STUDY PERMIT的原件和其它一些东西到美国.申请时间比STUDY PERMIT要短很多.

为什么是寄材料到美国呢？
另外关于具体的visa，我找到两个，一个是粘在护照上的如同防伪标记一般的，还有一个是第一次在加拿大入境的时候，在海关大厅里人家给的一张纸。不知道哪个是study permit,哪个是entryvisa呢？

Entry Visa is for EVERYONE who wants to enter Canada on a temperary term - as distinguished with permanent residence or immigration visa.

Then would have different reasons for entering Canada - studying, working, or tourism. For these purpose, you either need a permit (for studying or working) or not (for just tourism). That's why for a student like you, there's a study permit.

Your Visa will have an expiry date, after which you are NOT allowed to ENTER Canada again. It does not affect you STATUS (in your case a student) INSIDE Canada, which is stipulated by you permit. So if you do not want to leave Canada and come back again, it is not necessary to re-apply for an entry-visa.

Your student permit will also have an expiry date, after which your STATUS in Canada would void. So if you want to stay in Canada as a student (that is if you want to register in a school) beyond that date, you have to extend your status by extending your permit.

A permit can be extended WITHIN Canada, but a Visa can only be issued by an OVERSEAS visa office. That's why someone suggested you to send passport to the US. If you plan to leave Canada and come back, you have to do this. Otherwise only extend the permit.
