OC Transpo is set to begin a work-to-rule campaign Monday.
City officials confirmed Thursday afternoon that the Amalgamated Transit Union has given them 72 hours notice of a pending job action, which could mean anything from not wearing uniforms to refusing overtime and even not collecting bus fares.
This latest development comes one day after talks stalled between the City and the Union.
Mayor Bob Chiarelli says, "If the job action becomes so disruptive as to fundamentally impair service, we would have the option at that time to give notice of a lockout", but he hopes it doesn't come to that.
Both sides admit the main sticking point is over the contracting out of work.
