Every political party has the potential to be corrupt, and the Conservatives are not exempt. Like you said, the Conservatives has not been in power for 13 years, and no one knows whether they are really less corrupt than the Liberals. Besides, the Conservative Party of today is different from the Progressive Conservative who was in power last time. Today's Tories are in fact the Reform Party in disguise. It has never been in power, and no one knows how they are like. They can well turn out to be extremely corrupt.

My dear 土鳖虫, are you sure you are living "so good"? I am not so sure as well as a lot of the other Canadians. Don't try to scare people about the Conservatives. One thing I am sure is that Conservatives being elected won't be the end of the world!

BTW, Conservatives has not being in power for more than 12 years. How do you know "conservative's corruption was even worse than libral"?

北欧面临人口老化问题，将来势必也变成移民国家和面对多元化的问题。法国和德国，英国已经出现了这样的问题，前不久，法国出现的骚乱就是一个信号，英国出现本土青年发动的地铁自杀炸弹袭击。
二次大战后生育高峰人口的老龄化，人口和劳动力负增长，沉重的福利和养老金负担。北欧将面临和加拿大一样的问题。

最早的时候，加拿大和美国这样的国家的移民主要来自欧洲白人。可现在欧洲白人还来吗？除了东欧和前苏联还有愿意来的。现在所有的欧洲国家包括前苏和东欧，白人人口也不富裕。
加拿大放开对非白人的移民限制，那是大势所趋，不排除民主自由多元化精神也是一个原因。这个世界面临着解决更完美的政治体制和机制的问题，世界走向更好的民主制度应该是趋势。北欧的制度只能是个参考，并不完善。

不错北欧是面临人口老化问题, 但是每家都有2, 3个以上的孩子, 无子女和独生子女的家庭很少. 不过你放心由于地理,历史和传统文化等原因, 这些国家恐怕永远都不会成为移民国家. 德国那么多土耳其人, 生活在德国都多少年了, 但是他们还是土耳其人, 他们的子孙后代还是土耳其人, 入不了籍. 至少现在是这种情况. 另外, 你不要混搅了, 法国和德国，英国不是北欧国家, 他们同瑞典, 挪威有不同的政治, 经济体系, 也正如你说的北欧的制度只能是个参考, 这个世界上没有perfect的.

Agree. Those stupid liberals are using this strategy trying to scare away the public from the Conservatives. So far it didn't work.

的任免权, 无须国会审议听政. 任人唯亲, 营私舞弊, 皆由此而来.

自由党是四个党中唯一一个回避制度性改革的, 马丁上次大选的口头承诺,这次绝口不提. 大有我是腐败我怕谁的气势,问题的关键在这里!

Not sure where this conclusion comes from. Isn't it the Canadian system a parliamentary system like those of the UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc.?
