Agree. I think John is history. Belinda is not capable to hold such a large party together - that doesn't mean she won't try. If she could challange Harper, she could challange anybody. I don't think she will get the vote from her party though if she goes for the leadership. Kind of like 1993, Kim Campbell. Liberal needs a new leader and a real strong leader. Otherwise it may take them years to get back on the right track.

I don't think she will get the vote from her party though if she goes for the leadership. Kind of like 1993, Kim Campbell. Liberal needs a new leader and a real strong leader. Otherwise it may take them years to get back on the right track.

John Manley might be the man, who knows. The liberals wouldn't want to wait for too long before the next election and, as such, they wouldn't put a trainee in that chair.

Don't believe next election will come soon. Already had two within 2 years. Parties and public are both tired. They need do some real work instead of campaigns.

Don't believe next election will come soon. Already had two within 2 years. Parties and public are both tired. They need do some real work instead of campaigns.

Let's wait and see. My bet is: another election within less than 2 years.

少数政府的执政期平均大约16个月左右。这次可能要看自由党今年什么时候完成党魁选举而定。不过也不会拖太久。

其实结果对全体选加拿大人有利.保守党是极右的,NDP是极左的,而魁人党的意见只对魁省有利.所以,保守党不可能联合NDP,只有魁人党.一旦不能满足任何政党的要求,或所有选民的利益,就可能下台.所以,这次HAPER虽然当上了总理,但是以后的路比自由党的MARTIN难多了.主要原因是保守党没有盟友.自由党下台正好从腐败事件中走出来反省一下,看看保守党的执政水平,一旦找到空档,可能再次杀回来进行大选.另外,保守党主要抢了自由党在安省的票,是因为大家都想换换庄,一旦保守党演砸了,选票自然回到自由党.其实这个结果是全体选民意愿的准确表达,给了保守党一个使用期,希望保守党能信守诺言.

纠正一下，法西斯极右，共产党容易极左。 当然TORY 有可能成为极右， NDP有POTENTIAL成为极左。
