tooth ache doesn't seem to be a problem that requires a highly reputable dentist to cure. Many shopping malls in Ottawa have dental office located inside and there does not seem to be shortage of dentist in Ottawa. Emvale Acres has one dental office that appears to be quite childishly decorated but friendly. Check yellow book or google, you should be able to find a few dental offices close to you. Can you stop using the word "西人" or "white 人"? those words sound so...

You should not feel bad about Chinese people communicating in English in open forums or places whatsoever in English-speaking countries, even if the Chinglish was full of mistakes or funny expression. Things can get better so long as it's on the track. There is no single language that is more superior or inferior than another. Language is a tool. It's about human beings' survival and getting progress and should be encouraged instead.
People do not come to English speaking country to become fixtures in "China town".
I used to feel cringed to hear or see Chinglish, but not any more. So long as the purpose is to communicate and practice, it should be a positive thing. People or local people may laugh at us(I doubt many of them would unless they are very psychologically insecured), but we don't and shouldn't laugh at ourselves. We are not aliens. We chose to come to a "foreign"-language nation, right? Local language should be encouraged here, don't you think so?
as to the words" Xi Ren(western people)" or "Bai Ren(White people)", to me, they have another layer of meaning. It feels like setting an extra barrier and segregatting people based on the origin or color. Am I overly sensitive? I don't believe so, at least for now.

I might have sounded like patronizing you, or actually I was patronizing you. But I was by no means trying to impersonate a non-chinese and I don't think that's even possible

However, if you do feel insulted, unfortunately, you don't deserve an apology, simply because you are the one that's insulting yourself and poisoning your own blood. You have many choices. You felt good when you first saw the word "西人"? Not every term from the newspaper or the community tells a shinning story. Something can be changed but wouldn't be changed if people don't want to. Put all the above aside, you use whatever term you feel comfortable and probably that shouldn't be a big deal. Sorry I snapped at you.

As to your tooth ache, look up the yellow page and search the list of dentists and give them calls on Monday and ask if they take new patients(I would stick my neck saying they would as the dental offices are not that busy) and make an appointment. Bring your dental insurance paper with you, if that's applicable. Hopefully your dental care is covered by an insurance plan.
If you don't have a dental insurance yet, you might 1)if you don't want to spend money on dental visits, make an appointment with your family doctor as soon as possible to see if he/she has the ability to check for you and see if that's an urgent or anything he/she can prescribe to stop the inflammation and pain; 2)visit the dentist and tell him/her that you don't have a dental insurance. He or she will consider your situation and try to make the best treatment plan for you.

敏感来源于深深的自卑? 别文盲似地从杂志里学那么一句烂词就胡乱用。不是你自己的那张破嘴一开始就嚼卿“wo ye hen tao yan...xi ren ru he ru he...”的吗？！"深深的自卑"可能导致一个人敏感，反过来就没那么简单了。再说了，人也不会闲着没事儿无缘无故自卑，也不会无缘无故自豪。中国是俺家乡，出生成长的地方，这种情绪是永远无法取代的。但平衡起来，除了那种朴素的情感之外，没衍生出其他的什么卑微或高昂的东西。

If you don't mind a chinese dentist, Zheng shiqin@(613) 225-3564 is good choice. his dental office is located at Fisher Heights Plaza beside restaurant "Lone Star".
Also, Li Qun is a good Chinese dentist too. he can be reached at (613) 825-8900 in Barrhaven.
