If sth preoccupies you, remind yourself that nothing is worth losing your sleep for.
And exercise, exercise, work out, outdoors.. in short: wear yourself out.
If you don't want to take the sleeping pills from the pharmacy, some chinese "gan mao yao" contains stuff that helps to put you to sleep too.
I assume you stay away from coffee/tea these days?
