Programmer / Analyst – Ottawa

We are seeking a Programmer / Analyst to join our Development team. The primary function of this position is to support the implementation of Chipworks’ IS Business Strategy by providing technical programming and web development support services.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
· ensuring that all developed systems meet the needs of the end users and the corporation, by understanding the company’s business procedures, and modeling corporate data architecture and infrastructure accordingly.
· developing and optimizing access to corporate databases through advanced programming and business and business/technical analysis.
· providing ongoing system support and training, as well as maintenance and enhancements, to ensure that users are effectively using the system and the systems are performing to specifications.
Your will have experience in design and testing methodologies in:
· applying standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies
· the following technologies: SQL Server 2005, ASP.NET, Visual Studio 2005, VB.NET, C#.
The successful candidate has a university degree or college diploma in an area pertinent to this position. Your background includes strong C# development experience with 4 - 6 years experience in web development with Microsoft technologies. You have an excellent track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, and you enjoy managing multiple priorities and being part of a creative, dynamic team environment.
