They used to be mentally challenged (After reading 转法轮 it was fairly hard for me not to think so), now however, I think their mental problems are getting better, but they are getting politically retarded by adopting a policy to bash all things Chinese.
It doesn't matter. Entitlement is not an issue, number of people that could benefit from said policy is.
You may be one of those rich that they "killed", think it's unfair? Well, as long as most "poor" people think otherwise, it's fair.
People are always greedy(it's too strong a word, but I cannot find substitutes) and whatever brings them visible profit will get their approval, period. Political candidates play with the concept of what would be profitable and what wouldn't, and democracy grants the wishes of the group with the biggest number of voters.
I'm greedy and I'm not rich, so I'll vote for the NDP who seems like they would give me the most. Fairness to all people is not exactly something that I would consider before voting.
