房子里的风扇每天都要开吗?

听有的朋友讲, 房子里的风扇每天从早到晚都要开, 可又听有的朋友讲不用每天都开。

因为不懂如何维护房子, 请教懂行的网友，如何维护房子，特别是新房子里总有一种气味即使每天都开风扇，仍然还有。如何去掉新房子的气味？是不是每天从早到晚24小时都要开风扇？

My short answer to your question is no need, because normal house centralize air condition fan is not strong enough to ventilate the air.

Air ventilation is define how many gallon of air per hour, or how many times it refresh all the air in the house. All home builders in Canada does not install these kind of air conditioning system, simply because they wants to earn more money.

Canada home builder law only require home builder to has minimum fan that build in to the air ventilation system. This kind of fan is a very low power fan, which is sufficient to transfer the cool air and hot air through out the house, but not going to refresh the air in the house in 1 hr.

Due to this powerless fan, if your house has smell, you simply rely on the cheap fan is not going to remove the smell. If it is not due to fungus, but smell from furniture, animal, cloths, then you can use 2 regular floor fan to blow. Commercial fan is more efficient because it has larger diameter and spin faster.

If it is due to fungus, then need to replace the insulation, or resolve any water leak. Hope this help

You can turn on the furnace fan, turn on bathroom fan and leave few window open a bit. Do this when you go to work. It is the best way to exchange the air in the house.
