对啊，有时去陌生地方总要看地图，觉得麻烦多，所以才决定买个GPS。

I would say if you are going out of town, they are 必需品.

I found them very useful when I go to Toronto.

They save you a lot of gas, it is nice to know if you are heading east, west, south or north.

When you went past your destination, they would inform you to make a safe U-turn.

One advice is always planning your route before hand, don't depend on the GPS as absolute guide.

Anyone use them in Quebec, are they accurate in pronouncing French streets?
