看完后有个感觉是LZ在没有完成换线的情况下（即车还没有完全换到最右边时），突踩刹车减速，而后面的车又跟的太近，造成了事故。在下以为应各负一半责任。

看来警察没在有争议的问题上charge.

在下有亲属犯过内似错，还有证人主动说对方没减速，但先错在在下亲属，在下认了，损失很多银子，但，从此开车平安，小心了嘛．
生活就是这样，要对自己的过错负责，否则心神不安，不合算

I honestly feel that guy can not be 100% innocent, as he lied to the police.
I did trying to keep all the Chinese good ethics, by not arguing in front with that person, not arguing with the police officer, since I think there should be a fair judgment. I did not blame that person for 1 word at police station (right now I feel I was so stupid), that's why I get this whole ticket.
Now if I don't even go to court to argue, it's like I'm too too silly. Whatever he told has all become truth, from the police's perspective.

其实，英语在表达事件经过，前因后果上，语态时态动词的变化，比汉语有优势，可以更精炼准确。

Actually, if you read carefull, there are two things in the subsection:

"... shall first see that the movement can be made in safety, and if the operation of any other vehicle may be affected by the movement shall give a signal plainly visible to ...."

在向法官陈述事情经过的时候，一定注意这条规定的用词，注意自己的用词须同法规一致，以避免误解。另外，要特别注意英语的语态、时态。(For example, in your sentence above, it should read: "You know what, the police didn't even check with any of us as for if I had signaled."

当然，还要考虑到文化和思维逻辑的不同。

I think LZ should try in the court if you do believe that guy has fault/lie. We Chinese here have a lot of chances to "吃亏是福". But those "kui" should not teach others that we are too easy to take advantage of.
We should stand a little if we have a factual base.

that's because the police took the other guy's statement, your charge is based on the fact that the car behind does not know your intention, I suspect the guy claims he was in the right-most lane when this accident happened, you should go to the court and state your case.

各负一半责任，一般对于停车场内的小事故而言。路面上发生的交通事故，很少各打五十大板。

你说的“prosecutor”不会是“Justice of the Peace”吧？

一般情况下，除非你“Plead guilty" 或"Plead guilty with explanation", 否则你都不用见“Justice of the Peace”。

你如果“Plead not guilty", 你可在 任何Provincial Offences court in Ontario 填写一份“Notice of Intention to Appear” 表格。也可把ticket附件按其中所附地此寄回，并注明“Plead not guilty". 然后是等出庭通知。

你如何CLEAR THE LANE？你BLOCK THE LANE ACTUALLY。

西方执行法律，是极其教条的，在很多时候是不讲情理的。警察判断事故，很简单。你换道，对方直行。出了事故，直接判换道司机的错。就像有让牌一样，你有让牌，无论事故是如何发生的，有让牌的司机负全责。

换句话说，如果你不换线，会撞到你么？如果撞到你，是对方的错了（追尾）。

我觉得她有机会争取。按她的描述，她已经完成了由左线换到中线（1），因此她在中线有路权。至于她没有完成从中线到右线，是另一个故事。只要她在中线有路权，即尚未完全离开中线，后车在中线撞她是过错方。
（1）关键问题在于事故是在她完成进入中线多长时间之后。如果很短，是前车的过错，如果有相当长时间，则是后车的错。
不要放弃你的权利，实在不行就上court。据说只有不到10%的警察受过训练判断事故责任方。没把握的话找个律师咨询一下。如果律师说你没希望赢那就算了。
