因家中有病人。有那位知道Ottawa那里有卖无碘盐的。请告知

买普通的碘盐,用水洗一下,水刚好漫过盐就行,然后把水倒掉,把盐凉干,要几天才能干。同时把抗结剂也洗掉,会有一点结块。
 
Kosher salt is what you need. Go to Loblaws organic section.
 
It should be called "Sea Salt",check this location "Shiraz Grocery Store" and give them a call to ask whether it has sea salt.

No such thing as non-iodize Sea salt and is not acceptable - it comes from the sea and all sea is iodine.
Only use NON-IODIZED KOSHER SALT ( IT'S COARSE)
 
到Sigma买NaCl(sodium chloride), 保证没有杂质。
 
如果我没搞错, 海盐应该含碘高吧? 因为妈妈是甲抗, 所以很留心这方面的知识, 好像有次在网上看到, 如果把盐稍微炒一下,碘就会挥发,含碘量也就降低了.

海盐不应该含碘高。把盐炒一炒,碘就被氧化挥发了,可能不完全。

海盐是从海水粗练出来,里面还有很多杂质和矿物质。碘也有其中的一小部分,但是比这里买的table salt含碘量要小多了。

如果需要纯盐sodium chloride,估计只有从Sigma来订了。如想买,Sigma生物纯度的盐(>99.5%)好像1KG要C$48.5。至于化学纯度,会更贵、纯度当然更高。

那我就不知道了. 不过, 我可没听说国内食盐含碘不够, 倒是听说国内碘盐含碘标准制订过高, 以至于那些食盐含碘太多, 许多人长了甲状腺结节.

我刚才Google了一下,你说的有些报道和研究。但是在像青海和甘肃这样远离海的地方,加碘的盐是必要的。但是像在靠海的地方吃海鲜多了,碘的摄入量自然增加也没有必要强求大家吃一样的盐。

垄断带来暴利,中国的盐业也是如此。

此外LS说的也是国内政策一刀切的结果。不分高低,一刀切。有些人死了,有些毫发不损。
 
无法判断Koshering Salt和Pickling Salt的生产过程,只是说不添加碘而已。并不能说不含碘。

Koshering salt, usually referred to as kosher salt in the US, is a term that describes one of the most commonly used varieties of edible salt in commercial kitchens today.

Pickling salt is a salt that is used mainly for canning and manufacturing pickles. 反正在国内根本买不到无碘盐, 我妈甲抗也不得不吃加碘盐. 可悲啊!
 
No salt is totally free of iodine. Salt extracted from land contains way less iodine than sea salt. The only way you can get chemically pure salt is from Sigma. I am not sure you need to get that. Kosher salt is a good alternative. To be sure, ask for a doctor's opinion.
 
今天到Merivale的Costco,特别留意看了一下盐。

有Table Salt(70%的碘,没有仔细研究这70%是啥意思),有Organic Sea Salt(没有注明碘的含量,但是有锰和钙的含量),还有iodized sea salt。

所以从海水里捞出来的海盐应该含碘不够多。

估计甲亢也不是一点碘都不能够吃,可能少吃也不妨。
