I was puzzled by the conservative strategies getting into this election:
1) Talking about the coalition not as a political choice but as an illegitimate evil;
2) Putting forth the one-on-one debate stuff but withdrawing it quietly soon after;
3) Making election promises that can be cashed in by the electorates only years after the election, and even worse, with lots of ifs attached;
4) Preventing the journalists from asking the Prime Minister the sixth question;
5) Decorating with Karate kids the background behind the Prime Minister in a major policy announcement event in the capital;
6) Sending good-mannered people who seem not be able to engage in neither their opponents nor the audience (camera) to political talk shows.

At one point of time, I was asking myself, what's going on there?

And yet, all the polling numbers show that the conservatives are winning, very day. So the question becomes, is the conservatives campaign under the direction of a real genius or what?

What's your opinion?

Yeah, "What's your opinion? "

4) Preventing the journalists from asking the Prime Minister the sixth question;

Actually, no more than four questions shall be asked per day, if I remember correctly.

Four for national media, one for local media.:)

What do you mean by saying "that can be cashed in by" ?

When you say "electorates", do you mean voters?

If I have your permission, I would like to rewrite that sentence as follows:

Giving out election coupons that the electorate can possibly cash in only years after the election, and even worse, with lots of ifs attached;:)

1)通过引起对联合政府合法性的讨论,给选民一个联合政府迫在眉睫的印象,增加支持者冲刺多数政府的动力;
2)通过提升领导人评分一直偏低的Iggy来压制Jack,加剧新自两党之间的竞争(这个似乎没有必要);

cash in
