Singapore always wants to make money from the huge market of China, but in comparision with Kong Hong and Taiwan,she got much less profit.One reason for it is that Chinese government hasn't strived to cooperate with her and not taken care of her. So this time, Singapore wants to show China that she is still very important. The other reason is that she has been getting much closer relationship with U.S. since 911.
Actually,Singapore is anti-China all the time since she was found.
