A great winter activity and traditional Canadian event

The International Student Friendship Program
invites you to join us for a

Sleigh Ride and Chili Meal.

Bring your friends!

Ride on a horse drawn sleigh through the countryside.
Roast marshmallows on a bonfire.
Tobogganing* and barn with animals.
*(Children are required to wear a helmet for tobogganing.)

Afterwards, we will have a simple chili supper in Kanata, and then return to the university.



When: Saturday January 28th, at 12:30 p.m.
(Return about 7:00 -7:30 p.m. – depending on the activities.)

Where: At University of Ottawa meet in the Agora (the stage) in front of University of Ottawa's
Book Store in the University Centre

At Carleton University meet at the front of Minto Building

Cost: $12.00 includes Sleigh Ride, simple chili meal and transportation
Hot chocolate available for $1.50, tea and coffee $1.00 available at sleigh ride.

At the sleigh ride you can visit the barn and see the animals if you like. There will also be hot chocolate available for $1.50, tea & coffee for $1.00. There will be opportunity to go tobogganing or to visit the barn.

Remember to dress for the weather. You have the option of visiting the barn, roasting marshmallows & wieners on a bonfire or tobogganing. You could be outside for about one hour, so please wear a warm jacket, boots, gloves, hat, etc.

Dumpling Party

Beat the midwinter Blues! Eat with Friends.

Time: Saturday, February 4th, at 4:30 p.m.
Location: TBA - Sunnyside Church
Sunnyside at Grosvenor between Bronson and Bank St.

Cost: $4.00
We will begin making dumplings at 4:00 and eat around 6:00. Come to show your expertise or learn how to be a dumpling maker.

...Or just come to eat and enjoy great company!
 
Maple Syrup Farm Visit & Sleigh Ride*

Saturday, March 3rd at 10:30 a.m.
Includes lunch and tour

Meet in front of the University of Ottawa Bookstore in the University Centre
Cost $5.00 (includes visit to Sugar Bush, small stack of pancakes meal and sleigh ride*, Maple Products available for purchase

*sleigh ride weather permitting

The International Student Friendship Program
invites you to join us on a

Visit to a Sugar Bush (Maple Syrup Farm) & Sleigh Ride

Come and see maple syrup being produced and meet with other International Students.
We will begin with a meal when we arrive and enjoy a tour of the sugar bush and a sleigh ride after that.

When: Saturday March 3rd
at 10:00 a.m.

Return close to 4:00

Where: uOttawa: Meet in the University Centre at the benches and stage (the Agora)
near the University of Ottawa Book Store (& Opticians).

Carleton: Meet in front of Minto Building.
(departure time might be later for Carleton. When you reserve, please include an email address we can contact you at to keep you up to date with departure times. Tx)

Cost: $8.00 includes visit to Sugar Bush, small pancake meal, tour of Maple production and transportation
$2.00 for Sleigh ride

Maple products are available in the store for purchase.

You need to reserve your spot, because transportation space (to travel to the Sugar Bush) is limited.

Remember to dress for the weather. We will be outside for about 30-40 minutes to tour the Sugar Bush, so please wear a warm jacket, boots, gloves, hat, etc.
