Transpo projected fare increases in draft business plan

OTTAWA — OC Transpo will need to hike fares and add a fuel surcharge to keep its finances in order, according to its own projections. The recommendations were included in what transit managers thought was the final version of their 2012 business plan, the one that was turned back on the eve of its public presentation by transit commission chair Diane Deans in late January.
