最近有谁续Study Permit的吗？最近好像有很多人只延了一年，原来一直是以续就3，4年的。

What kind of information did you provide on the part of the reasons for extend staying in canada?

I need 3 more years for finishing my study program here. I provided letter from my supervisor which indicated that he expect I will finish in 3 years' time. And I also have my department provided a letter which officially certified my program length.

This works for graduate student. If you are undergraduate student, go to record office of your univ, ask for a certificate of enrollment and specially claim that you need them specify your program length.

I applied this March and just provided admission letter, offer letter to indicate your financial support, register form for winter session. I extended for 3 years too.

应该和护照的期限无关,因为护照是可以延期的.

最近有没有人被签下来啊，我是说STUDY PERMIT。。。急死了。。

if the valid period of your passport is shorter than you have applied for the study permit, they will only give you as long as your passport is valid. For instance, I applied for study permit extention to the end of 2006, but my passport will be expire in May 2006, so they only extended my study permit to the same date of my passport expire date. So, for those of you who want to get a longer extension, renew your passport first!!

I applied on Apr 6(sent by FedEx), and received at the end of Apr. I am not sure about the exact time for Temporary Resident Visa, since I haven't sent out my application.
