Man sentenced to four months for threatening police officer with a knife

A man who waved a knife at an Ottawa police officer before being arrested at gunpoint has received a conditional sentence, including two months of house arrest. Claude Charron was under the influence of alcohol and drugs when he approached a police officer near Donald and Telford streets waving his arms in the air with a knife in his hand on Dec. 4, 2010.
