2.5至3万左右, but not in your list:

Subaru Forester or Impreza

:crying:

Subaru Forester is more than 30000 CAD.

Impreza, with air cond & automatic, (not hatchback, no anti-rust, no tinted glass), AWD and power group is standard, is around 26000 (tax included).

The sales person who sold to my famiily an Impreza in late 2008 told my family last Nov that Subaru will have some promotion in July this year. That could mean Cash incentive of at least one thousand CAD. Hence my family delay our purchase of another (second) Subaru.

That is the plan. My wife will drive new Subaru, and I drive the one bought in 2008.

BTW, the dealer has offered my family a good underside anti-rust deal, 450 (tax included) and life-time warranty (as long as it is under my family), and each year free touch up scratches. That dealer is in Toronto.

That probably is MRSP. Other cost:
Delivery charge + Administration + Tire Recycling tax + taxes amount to 2000.
Also, air conditioner is not standard, another additional 1500.

The difference in MRSP between Impreza and Forester is 5000 (with tax 5650). The difference back in 2008 was 7000.

Is it cheaper to buy a car from Toronto than Ottawa?

Thanks for sharing the info.

Thanks for sharing the info.

More dealers and more Chinese speaking sales person.

You can go to Pickering, Ajax, Mississaugua etc.

Usually, dealers will receive year end bonus from Parent company, that depends on the number of cars sold in that year (hence, usually dealers try to boost sales by the end of each year), sales person also. (This, in fact is like year end bonus to insurance sales person).

The one I went to is on Yonge Street, Richmond Hill.

Sales person is A.Kam

He is NOT pushy, has patience to answer all your questions.

I doubt LZ has ever filed US tax return, and US financial institution account, hence how can an American leasing company approves LZ LEASE, and LZ will drive the leasing car to CANADA. I think Leasing company rather rejects LZ application then takes that risk.

If LZ plans to pay cash to buy the car, then go to US.

BTW, how many % of Canadians buy a car without going for finance/lease??? Less than 10 %.

If a person has 200,000 mortgage to pay, and has 30000 cash to buy car, the best investment is to pay down mortgage.

Those who pay cash to buy car are usually mortgage free.

(My caucasian co-worker was mortgage free five years ago. He bought a Honda Pilot three years and pay 50000 cash for the car.)

That is the reason why Canadian dealers won't lower car price since they all know not many Canadians can afford to pay cash to buy a car in US. (In fact I read this from newspaper three years ago, it MAKES SENSE).

I called Lexus in Toronto and Ottawa and found out Ottawa gives me a better deal overall. So not necessary Toronto has a better deal, guess which salesperson you are dealing with.

Take a time to dealership by yourself, anyway you need go there when you sign. Talk with some salesperson may help. Good luck
